This course includes two parts:

 

 Part I: Listening Comprehension

   Every student should attend ALL invited talks.

 

 Part II: Presentation

   Every student has to give a presentation in English or Chinese, FOUR students per week.

 

   Members in the same lab should present consecutively. The first presenter in a lab should give an overview of the lab within 5 min. The time is not counted.

 

   The topic of the presentation should be EECS related work for Ph.D/MS2 and any topic for MS1. The references should be listed in the slides.

 

   Submit a hard copy of your slides (2:1 or 4:1 reduction only) before your presentation.

 

   Presentation length in time : 15 min. talk and 5 min. questions for Ph.D/MS2 and 10 min. talk and 2 min. questions for MS1. Every student should raise questions in a semester.

 

   Any talk exceeding 20 min. will be forced to terminate

Remarks 

  • Every student needs to give evaluation and vote for the best presenter excluding the speaker him/herself in each session. Submit the ranking sheet after each session.
